Tennis Staff

Tommy Dixon is our General Manager and USPTA Tennis Professional. Tommy is a 1976 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill where he won six Atlantic Coast Conference individual titles, four consecutive ACC team championships, and played on four teams ranked in the top fifteen nationally. He has been a teaching professional for thirty-three years and works with players of all levels and abilities. In January 2007 Tommy was inducted into the North Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame at Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Kirstie Marx is involved in all aspects of our tennis program with a special emphasis on junior tennis. Kirstie has an extensive tennis background having taught since 1992. She has been a tennis professional at the Cary Tennis Center since 2002 and also coached at Meredith College. Kirstie is also Director of Tennis for the N.C. Special Olympics.
