Learn To Swim

At www.triangleaquatics.org you may register online or view more about TAC.

  • The swim lesson program will be conducted by Triangle Aquatic Center

  • Class size will be 3 to 5 students per instructor.

  • Classes with less than 3 students registered can be either cancelled and refunded or rescheduled with another class time. If you choose, you may opt to pay the extra amount for private or semi-private lessons. Each swim lesson session lasts for 2 weeks, Monday through Thursday, 30 minutes for each class. Friday and Saturday are reserved for make-up dates in the case of inclement weather. Please keep those dates flexible on your calendar as there are no individual make-ups.

    • The 4 swim lesson sessions include:
      Session I. June 15th thru 18th    June 22nd thru 25th
      Session II. June 29th thru July 2nd   July 6th thru July 9th

    • Session III. July 13th thru July 16th   July 20th thru July 23rd
      Session IV. July 27th thru July 30th   Aug 3rd thru Aug 6th

    Morning Times offered for group: 10:00-10:30, 10:45-11:15, 11:30-12:00
    Evening Times offered: 5:00-5:30, 5:45-6:15, 6:30-7:00

    (Times may be altered depending on pools ’ schedule and/or swim team practice.)

Class Descriptions:

Level 1: This class emphasizes water orientation, basic water safety, and developing general comfort level in the water. Lessons are designed to teach basic skills to develop safe swimmers. Encouraged for students ages 3 to 5.

Level 2: Students with little water experience yet are fairly comfortable in the water. Basic skills for freestyle and elementary backstroke are taught.

Level 3: Students must be able to swim a minimum of ten yards of both beginner freestyle and elementary backstroke. Students will be taught the basics for the four competitive strokes.

Fee Structure (all payment made out to TAC):

  • Group Lessons: $80.00 per child per session. (5 students per class, 8 classes)

  • Semi-private Lessons: $150.00 (2 per class, $75/each student, four 30-min classes)

  • Private: $130.00 (1 student, four 30-min classes)
